The Ski Race Academy Leitner and SKINION X® are entering into a strategic development partnership. The aim of the collaboration is to further develop performance-oriented protective clothing in alpine ski racing. The athletes of the Ski Race Academy Leitner will now be equipped with SKINION X® Protective First Layers and will provide continuous feedback from training and competition.
It is still regarded as one of the leading addresses in European youth ski racing. Under the leadership of Christian Leitner, athletes there are specifically prepared for the World Cup. Performance data from this environment now flows systematically into the Skin Performance Lab – SKINION X®’s research and development platform.
With its Protective First Layers, SKINION X® is setting a new benchmark in alpine protective clothing. The products combine skin abrasion and cut resistance in the first layer with high comfort, breathability and freedom of movement. They are based on the H-PEA® high-performance fiber module and the H3D® knit architecture, which specifically reduces pressure and friction points. The goal of the cooperation is to further develop textile protection technology under real high-performance conditions. This includes:
• Reduction of skin abrasion and friction in high-speed training
• Improvement of the thermal and moisture-related microclimate
• Analysis of zone stress and movement intensity in racing
• Transferability to series production for extreme sports and professional applications
