While conventional performance underwear mainly manages climate and moisture, SKINION X starts earlier: with functional skin protection as the first layer on the skin.
How it all began:
For over 15 years, we have been developing high-precision 3D knitting systems in our Italian manufactory. The starting point was real stress scenarios from winter sports: falls, chafing and cuts that showed how early strain begins directly on the skin.
During this time, we developed textiles for elite sports together with fiber developers, mechanical engineers and research partners. It quickly became clear how strongly materials, movement and skin interact directly.
Personal experience with neurodermatitis in our private environment sharpened our focus on skin and its resilience. It highlighted how big the gap is between medical treatment and normal clothing – and the potential that lies in textile solutions.
From this combination of practice, research and personal motivation, SKINION X was born: protective performance underwear as the first layer on the skin, developed for a wide range of applications: in winter sports, on the motorbike, when cycling, in outdoor environments, in water sports and for physical work.
What all of these have in common: movement under load and the need to protect skin over the long term. That’s why SKINION X is used in different fields – from winter sports to manual work.
